Branding Process

I. Consultation and project planning

It all begins with a brief telephone call or e-mail exchange where you expose us to your situation and help us understand your needs. During this stage, we get to know each other and ensure that we are on the same page in terms of goals, planning, and working methods. If you think that we're a good fit for each other, we will send you a proposal, including a quote, so that you know to expect. As we only accept a limited number of clients per month, we simply ask that you make a deposit of 30% of the total estimated amount if you choose to move forward with our team. This will reserve your place with us.


II. Discovery of the brand's strategy and artistic direction

At Whitespace, we strive to tell your story the right way. Thus, all of our projects begin with a complete immersion into the core of your business to determine your goals, target audience, competition, and overall vision. We will ask you A LOT of questions - where each of your responses will help us create a road map for your project. Our goal with "discovery" is to create a strong and effective brand strategy that will essentially define your business and help us achieve your goals. Towards the end of this stage, our team will create and deliver a visual moodboard (inspiration board) that will serve as a visual guide during our process.

III. Concept Development

Taking our mood board and carefully curated strategy, we will begin the development of the logos concepts. We will go to the drawing board, refine, and pair things down to two proposals - each with a few different creative directions. We strive to focus on the best and most effective concepts for your brand/company - and create some of the work up front to make sure our concepts have the legs to take the brand where it needs to go. We strive to build a more hollistic brand identity - one that we are confident will work and one that truly represents you. Our concepts for visual identities will be presented along with an explanation for the purpose of each of them.

IV. Refinement

After we listen to your feedback, we will discuss what works, what doesn't, and what you'd like to change. Our job is to offer the most effective solutions for your business and leave you completely satisfied with the final result. Thus, we offer two rounds of revisions. Additionally, we strongly encourage open, honest, and respectful communication.

V. Brand Guide

Once the visual identity concept is refined and approved, we will create a PDF of your brand guidelines to help maintain the consistency of your visual identity across a wide range of platforms as your business continues to grow. The brand guidelines are very useful to pass on to professionals, including your printer, designers, Marketing team, or other providers in order to consistently enforce the usage rules of your logo, brand elements, typography, and colors.

VI. Finalization & delivery

Once you approve the elements of your new brand, you receive all the recommended files and tools to successfully launch your brand. We are more than happy to make ourselves available to help you create your media and teach you more strategies. Thus, we invite you to explore some of our other services for a more hollistic branding experience. If necessary, we are also happy to connect you with a trusted printer, developer, or other creatives.
